It is the fruit of a solid cooperation between Togo and Japan. An opportunity to quickly seize and that comes at the right moment, the day where the 7th international conference of Tokyo on the development of Africa opened in Yokohama. President Faure Gnassingbe and several Togolese officials are taking part in the proceedings.
Who can be eligible?
According to the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the scholarship targets any Togolese youngster of good health, holder of a license (BAC + 3) and aged at most 39 years on April 1, 2020.
The stay in Japan will last one to two years. Learners selected after file analysis will have the opportunity to obtain the Master's degree and benefit from an internship in Japan through the Program of the Initiative ABE (African Business Education for Youth) in the business sector. More than 200 courses are scheduled in more than 60 universities.
"It is to support young generations wishing to contribute to the development of industries in Africa and offer people the opportunity to be a bridge between Togo and Japan through a deep understanding of Japanese society and Japanese business culture", the Japan agency told agridigitale.
What about conditions?
To be qualified, the candidate must show professional experience, have written and oral skills in English greater than or equal to level 80 of the TOEFL iBT or B2 of the CEFR and not be employed in a Japanese company when participating in the program.
